I also thank Pete for his many valuable contributions to the SEC over his nearly two-decade career with the agency. I wish him the best of luck going forward.”
“The Division of Examinations plays a critical role in protecting investors, and I look forward to leading the team of talented and dedicated public servants,” said Mr. Kahl.

Mr. Kahl holds a B.S. from Penn State University, a J.D. from Southern Methodist University, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Driscoll led the Division of Examinations and its predecessor Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations since January 2017. He rejoined the SEC in 2001 as a staff attorney in the Division of Enforcement and was later a Branch Chief and Assistant Regional Director in the Investment Adviser and Investment Company examination program. Mr. Driscoll is the recipient of the first ever Mission Award and the Distinguished Service Award, the Agency’s highest honor.
“It has been a great honor and the highlight of my career to have led the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations and serve as the first-ever Director of the Division of Examinations,” said Mr. Driscoll. “I am incredibly humbled to have had the opportunity to work alongside the talented staff of the Division in our mission to protect investors and maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets.”
